DHHS Coronavirus Updates

Based on the Statement from the Premier effective 11.59pm Wednesday 8 July Remedial Massage has an exemption as an essential service. Necessary bookings are available with appropriate screenings. Individual and group sessions for Stretching for Daily Life, Yoga, Meditation, Qigong will return to being delivered online via Zoom.

Important Information – Health & Wellbeing

Safety remains our overriding priority. As the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak continues to evolve and spread globally, we are monitoring the situation closely and updating guidelines based on current National & State Health department guidelines and industry best practice.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the potential risk of exposure for yourself, your practitioner and those you come into contact with, we are conducting a simple screening questionnaire and acknowledgement of class attendance and treatment protocols. Your participation is important to help us take precautionary measures to protect everybody in the studio. Thank you for your time.

Contact Tracking

When you book a class or treatment as always we record your name, address and contact phone number in our booking system. This is now a requirement of the Department of Health & Human Service Victoria.

Symptom Checker, Contact & Travel Questionnaire COVID-19 Symptom Checker:

You will find resources to review whether or not you, or someone you are with, have any symptoms of Covid-19 at: https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/symptom-checker/tool/basic-details or via the Australian Government App. Symptoms from Covid-19 symptoms can range from mild illness to pneumonia. Some people will recover easily, and others may get very sick very quickly. People with Coronavirus my experience:
o fever (> 38 degrees Celsius),
o flu like symptoms such as coughing,
o sore throat and fatigue, shortness of breath,
o headache, muscle pains, nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea, altered sense of taste, loss of appetite

People at Risk of COVID-19:
Some people are at greater risk of more serious illness with COVID-19. You will find
o Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people or people in remote communities
o Older people
o People in Aged Care Facilities
o People with Chronic conditions
o People with Disability

Question 1: Complete the COVID-19 Symptom Checker at https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/symptom-checker/tool/basic-details. Do you have, or have you been in contact with anyone who has, any of the listed symptoms in the Australian Government Health Direct COVID-19 Symptom Checker or are you from a postcode that is currently in Stage 3 restrictions? If you answer YES to any of these questions please DO NOT attend class/treatment and seek medical advice. If you answer NO to all of the questions proceed to question 2.

Questions 2: Have you returned from overseas in the past 2 weeks or have you been in contact with someone who has returned from overseas in the past 2 weeks? If your answer is YES please DO NOT attend class/treatment and seek medical advice and adhere to isolation protocols.

High Risk Questionnaire

Some people are at greater risk of more serious illness with COVID-19. These include:
o Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people or people in remote communities
o Older people (over 70 and over 65 with chronic health conditions)
o People in Aged Care Facilities or long term care
o People with Chronic conditions (chronic lung disease, serious heart conditions, immunocompromised (people in cancer treatment, bone marrow or organ transplant, immune deficiencies, prolonged use of corticosteroids and other immune weakening medications), severe obesity, diabetes, chronic kidney or liver disease)
o People with Disability

Question 3: Are you considered at high risk of developing COVID-19 as per guidelines at https://www.health.gov.au/news/health-alerts/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-health-alert/advice-for-people-at-risk-of-coronavirus-covid-19? If your answer is YES please DO NOT attend class/treatment, seek medical advice regarding managing your ongoing medical condition &/or seeking medical clearance if appropriate.

Reducing the Risks

When coming for a class or treatment please note the following:
o Shower before your appointment & wear clean clothes
o Go to the toilet prior to leaving home
o Bring your own water bottle, mat and props

On arrival:
o Temperature taken with contactless thermometer
o Utilise hand sanitiser upon entering the treatment room
o Keep 1.5m distance at all times except when the treatment is occurring
o When getting changed for treatments, place clothing and loose items in the bucket provided (next to the chair)
o treatment may be modified to reduce face to face exposure within 1.5m

Covid Cancellation Policy

If you or your teacher/practitioner are feeling unwell and class/treatment is required to be cancelled for health reasons you will receive a full refund if paid in advance.
